Detailed Access Audit:

Our Detailed Access Audit comes in two forms, the main form consist of a full audit on the current access our client has in place. A team of experienced access auditors will spend time studying everything in the building including printed material, physical access, access for people who are neurodiverse.
Photographs and measurements will be taken for the purpose of writing the report up, a video may also be recorded on larger premises in order for accuracy when compiling the report.
After the audit has been carried our clients will receive a report which will review the current levels of access and then outline possible solutions to combat these problems. Our team will work with you where needed to help improve access.

The report will address such issues as the light pooling which can cause access issues for people with communication difficulties, turning space for wheelchair users, the size and type of font on signs and literature etc. It will also address issues of staff training, external surrounds and community infrastructure (such as public transport). All findings and recommendations are supported with photographic evidence and are based on current legislation and guidelines.
The other format that this service can take is a Detailed Access Audit of new buildings or building plans. A similar process to the above takes place on paper, we recognise that plans are integral as part of a building process and feel that access should be considered when the building is being designed.
While an Access Audit on a set of plans may have different aspects of areas covered we still report on topics such as printed material and staff training.
