Introduction to Disability Equality Training
Again, a new course for our online service we are excited to be able to offer Disability Equality Training to bolster our already popular awareness training. This course provides people with an understanding of how disability discrimination has changed as a result of the Equality Act 2010
The course aims to cover the Protected Characteristics mentioned within the Equality Act 2010, how the act encompasses disability discrimination, and the key changes brought in by the Equality Act 2010.
- Introduction to Disability Equality – Delegates will look at what equality is and how it relates to disabled people.
- The Equality Act 2010 – This section provides delegates with a brief overview of the anti-discriminatory legislation that has the purpose of protecting disabled people against discrimination
- Disability In The Work Place – Different types of discrimination are discussed in this section, along with what is classed as a reasonable adjustment to enable disabled people to use a service or gain employment
